Finally, an outfit post.
I've realised that I really need to start posting more in general, but I definitely need to include some more outfits. I've been really rubbish recently, sadly holidays, coursework and exams have been standing in the way, and will continue to until 10th June - but I'll do what I can.

Don't you just love those warm summery days which mean you don't have to worry about taking umbrellas / extra layers and so on... Hitting the shorts, tshirts, and spring dresses.
I headed to Dorset with the boyf and his family after a week on camp. The weather was surprisingly good, a couple of days were hot hot hot. We hit a few beaches, including Bournemouth which I now absolutely love (we also went shopping, up in the 'Bournemouth Eye,' which is a sort of hot air balloon thing, had a picnic in the park, listened to live music and went to the beach: perfect), had fish and chips, went to an animal park and gardens, went Zorbing (which is absolutely insane but so much fun! You're put into a giant inflatable ball and pushed down a hill) and went for probably the best curry I've ever had - why does it have to now be so far away?! For anyone who hasn't been and lives in England, Dorset is a must, simply beautiful and in the towns and cities surprisingly full of fashion.

It suddenly looks like my blog is very empty, down to very few posts... but in fairness I've been deleting some. My blog isn't quite how I want it to be right now. I have a lot of posts ready to write which I promise will be up ASAP :) Outfits, outings, fashion, models and so on. . .

Ducklings and Apologies.
Firstly: I apologise for the fact that I haven't written in about a month. I do have many wonderful new outfits that I should really be posting on here, and I promise to get round to it soon. I went away for two weeks at Easter and then had to work solidly before and afterwards so that my parents would even let me go. Exams are fast approaching: one in two weeks, ahh! And various coursework deadlines are looming. One week was spent on camp meeting lots of people, having a laugh, teambuilding, rockclimbing, shooting, raft building and so on. The second week was spent with the boyfriend and his family in the most beautiful little cottage in Dorset. We visited Bournemouth which I am now in love with (mini golf, shopping, picnic in the park, live music, beach, hot air balloon thing), the weather was luckily really hot: heavy rain had been predicted! We also went to another beach, had long walks, went to THE BEST curry place I've ever been (why does it have to be so far away from me now?!), went to an animal park & beautiful gardens, where there were the cutest orphan lambs to feed, and went zorbing which is INSANE... if you have the chance, do it!
On another note the boyfriend's family has just got four ducklings and six chicks. Ducklings are named by boyfriend, his two brothers and ME :) There's two yellow ones (turning out white) and two brown ones (turning out apricot coloured), and there's a boy and girl of each. The chicks are like cotton wool balls on legs...so fluffy and cute, and incredibly curious: taking photos of them they all try to shove each other out of the way to peer at the camera! Mike's parents named the chicks and I got the honour of one named after me, 'Milly,' she's tiny and very sweet / kind apparently.

It's of George, on the left (the boy apricot one which is Mike's), and AUDREY is on the right. She's mine and is of course named after Audrey Hepburn, an idol of mine thanks to her role in Breakfast at Tiffanys: one of my favourite films ever, if not my favourite.

Marios Schwab at Topshop!
If you haven't noted the designer collections at Topshop, you're obviously not as uptodate as you like to make out. This new capsule collections from Marios Schwab and Richard Nicoll are absolutely gorgeous, individual designs bringing catwalk fashion to the high-street, what more could those desperate for some designer style ask for? Topshop has always been very savvy in mixing comfortable wear with a 'more than high-street' fashion look - whether it be a simple strap top or some extravagant lace detailing on a dress...Topshop seems to always be able to 'bring it,' whatever 'it' is that season.
So when I saw these cute capsule collections I had to push it out there into the blogosphere. Although I'm sure alot of you have been browsing since the pages went up on the online shop, using up all your nicely saved money to buy some key pieces.

Marios Schwab
Marios Schwab's pieces at first glance seem simple, surely not the work of a designer. But with a further look you see the inspiration and work he has put into creating these, yes...simple, but edgy clothes that can bring those fashionistas who like something a little different, quirky, orginal items. He's created his own take on some staple items - shift dresses and long jumpers. Every piece has its own twist, whether it's the grey mini dress, slashed across the front in two gaping lines, or the classic LBD, transformed by a cut-out upper left arm.

Half Term Galleries
Sorry for lack of posting...very busy with mock exams / work load etc recently.
Visited Leicester for 5 days of half term (Yes...I've skipped back to February), slumming it as a student with the boyfriend - bars, shopping, Yo! Sushi, cinema, dinner out, bars...and so on.
A great focus was Leicester's cultural side - visiting the New Walk Art Gallery and Museum. Key pieces included about 40 photos of...oddly enough...stuffed polar bears, in lots of different locations, my favourite being in someone's kitsch hallway.
Back in Cambridge I also spent some time at the shop midweek and finally went to Ickworth House & Gardens - a gorgeous location, thouroughly recommended for summer picnics, Loch Fyne restaurant & oyster bar (try the salmon fishcakes for starters...delicious) and the Fitzwilliam museum - my favourite gallery being the Egyptian one, my focus being the ornate jewellary and decorations they had in that time. Its funny to see how alot of it slips into the fashion world now and again, last seasons Egyptian treand being key. The detail of the exhibition is amazing and its a must for any locals, fashion inspiration can come from the most intersting sources. Other great exhibitons included ''I Turned it into a Palace': Sir Sydney Cockerell and The Fitzwilliam Museum' and a beautiful array of Oriental art. I picked up some postcards in the shop which is stocked with great art books...it was hard to resist buying a lot of them.
I'm looking forward to the 'Darwin' exhibition coming in June 2009!
